Bea's career began in 2011 as a comedian after she appeared in small roles for Irish and British television shows beginning in 2009. The comedian began to appear regularly on sketch comedy and sitcoms later in the year. Following her win during the Edinburgh Comedy Awards she began to appear regularly on numerous panel shows for which she is now a regular. She's been part of 8 Out of 10 Cats since 2016, and she's one of the most popular contestants on the show's sequel 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. The parents of her were Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. She is only the second ever woman to win So You Think You're Funny. The surname she uses is Bea in honor of her deceased father. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare woman who was born in Kildare. Her birth date was the 16th of March, 1984. The father of Bea was Brian was a veterinarian for horses who died by suicide when she was just three years old. However, she was not aware of the cause of her death until thirteen years later. In 2017, Bea wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also she adopted the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea was fostered by her sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary instructor, trainer of jockeys, and a former professional racer. They were both passionate about horses, race meetings and racing. When she was a child, Bea was an instructor for the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she was not keen on the sport of racing as a career and instead enjoyed performing.
